Missing person reports are submitted through our country registry sites, missingfromeritrea.org, missingfromsudan.org and missingfromethiopia.org, which we operate. When you submit a report there, we collect the details you provide about yourself (name, email address, phone number and your relationship to the missing person) and about the missing person (name, age, gender, nationality, physical description and the circumstances of their disappearance).

When you use the contact form on this website, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP addresses in server logs for security and reliability purposes. We do not run advertising or tracking cookies.

Information submitted through our forms is used solely to document missing persons cases, follow up with the person who submitted a report, and coordinate search and awareness efforts.

We will never sell your information or use it for marketing.

Form submissions are delivered to our team by email through a form-processing service. They are reviewed by our team and stored securely.

Details about a missing person may be shared publicly (for example, in a registry or awareness campaign) only with the consent of the reporting family. Your own contact details as a reporter are never published.

We may share case information with trusted partner organisations, humanitarian networks or relevant authorities where doing so supports the search for a missing person, and only with the reporter’s consent wherever possible.

We do not share your personal information with anyone else.

Missing persons cases can remain open for many years, so we retain case records for as long as they may assist a search or reunification effort. You can ask us to correct or delete information you have submitted at any time.

Our website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to submitted reports is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided to us. To make a request, email us and we will respond as promptly as we can.
